"Wonderful company and hospitality. Your outlook here at Tala is a bit of heaven - Thank you!"

Tyalgum is our nearest village, just 5km from here. Stroll into the arts and crafts shop for local handicrafts and homewares, or enjoy fresh-from-the-oven treats with your coffee at Flutterbies Cottage Cafe, a coffee and gift shop situated in the "Old Bakery" building circa 1926.

Murwillumbah is a picturesque town steeped in history, sitting on the eastern foothills of the McPherson Range and located on the pristine Tweed River.
The Bundjalung Aboriginal people have inhabited the area well before European settlement. Cedar cutters were followed by sugar can farmers in the 1870s. the arrival of the railway in 1894 gave an enormous boost to the town, and despite a devastating fire in 1907, Murwillumbah still has a handsome, historic street-scape in its old commercial centre.
Bush Walks

We are a 40 minute drive from the beautiful and uncrowded beaches of Fingal and Kingscliff. These include some leash-free dog exercising areas, as you can see from the photos below of your hosts Chris and Pete, Albert the Pug and Joey the Kelpie all enjoying the beach.
Closer to home, you can take an ambling stroll south to the base of The Pinnacle which is about 3.5km from our front gate.
